Role Overview: The Senior Manager Finance – Supply Chain & Commercial is a key executive leadership role responsible for providing financial oversight, strategic insights, and decision support to the supply chain and commercial functions. This role demands a seasoned finance professional capable of leading complex financial analysis, optimizing costs, and aligning supply chain and commercial operations with the organization’s broader business objectives. The Senior Finance Lead will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance, ensure sustainable growth, and support long-term strategic planning. Key Responsibilities: ● Strategic Financial Leadership: Lead and execute financial strategies for both the supply chain and commercial divisions. Align financial goals with the company’s broader business objectives, ensuring that supply chain and commercial operations contribute to the overall profitability and growth of the organization. ● Financial Oversight of Supply Chain & Commercial Operations: Provide strategic direction for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the supply chain and commercial functions. Oversee cost management, inventory control, procurement, and logistics, ensuring alignment with business objectives while driving efficiencies and optimizing margins. ● Cost Optimization & Profitability Enhancement: Lead initiatives to optimize supply chain costs, including procurement and logistics strategies, and maximize profitability across commercial operations. Utilize financial modeling and analysis to assess the impact of strategic initiatives and drive cost reductions, process improvements, and working capital efficiency. ● Executive Decision Support: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership and key business stakeholders. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial performance, market conditions, and operational data. Support major business decisions related to pricing strategies, vendor negotiations, product mix, and long-term investment opportunities. ● Commercial Finance Leadership: Oversee the financial analysis for sales, marketing, and commercial activities, ensuring effective pricing strategies, sales targets, and margin optimization. Collaborate with the commercial team to assess market trends and customer profitability, ensuring that financial strategies align with customer and product profitability goals. ● KPIs & Performance Metrics: Develop and manage KPIs and financial performance metrics specific to supply chain and commercial functions. Monitor operational performance and financial results, ensuring that targets are met and variances are effectively addressed. Communicate these results to the executive team to enable data-driven decision-making. ● Leadership & Team Development: Lead a high-performing finance team that supports both the supply chain and commercial finance functions. Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development to team members, ensuring that the team is equipped with the skills and knowledge to support business needs and drive financial success. ● Financial Reporting & Governance: Ensure comprehensive, accurate, and timely financial reporting. Present financial results and insights to senior management, including Board-level reports. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements. ● Business Transformation & Process Improvement: Drive process improvements within the supply chain and commercial finance areas, leveraging technology, data analytics, and automation tools to increase efficiency and improve the speed and quality of financial decision-making. Key Requirements: ● Experience: ○ 7-12 years of progressive experience in finance, with significant exposure to supply chain and commercial operations. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing supply chain and commercial finance. ○ Strong expertise in financial management, cost control, pricing strategies, financial modeling, and profitability analysis within supply chain and commercial environments. ○ Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and financial performance across multiple functions. ● Educational Background: ○ A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required. ○ An MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent advanced certification is preferred. ● Skills & Competencies: ○ Expertise in financial forecasting, modeling, and analysis with a focus on supply chain and commercial operations. ○ Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools. ○ Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex, high-level financial challenges. ○ Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams. ○ Ability to drive change and innovation, implementing new processes, systems, and approaches to enhance financial performance. ○ A collaborative and results-oriented leader capable of aligning cross-functional teams to achieve strategic business goals. ● Personal Attributes: ○ High degree of integrity and professionalism. ○ Strong business acumen with a focus on delivering long-term value and profitability. ○ Proactive and dynamic, with the ability to adapt to a fast-changing business environment. ○ Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
