Job Summary
The Regional Trainer is responsible for implementing and driving the retail training strategy to enhance the capabilities of retail staff, promote brand standards, ensure consistency in product knowledge, and improve sales performance. This role involves delivering effective training programs, supporting continuous learning, and collaborating with regional and national teams to achieve business objectives and elevate the customer experience.
Responsibilities

Training Development & Delivery:
- Conduct on-site and virtual training sessions across the region focusing on product knowledge, customer service, sales techniques, and brand values.
- Lead Residential NHT (6 days) programs at least 3 weeks per month.
- Develop and customize training content to meet regional needs, ensuring relevance to local market dynamics.
- Organize and facilitate regional training workshops, webinars, and one-on-one coaching sessions.

Retail Performance Support:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, quizzes, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to identify knowledge gaps and areas for improvement.
- Provide ongoing support to ensure continuous learning and consistent application of training.

Coaching & Mentoring:
- Coach store managers and key staff to develop skills and improve sales performance.
- Mentor new employees during onboarding, helping them adapt to company culture and expectations.

Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work with the National Training Manager and HR/training staff to align strategies with company goals.
- Provide regular reports on training progress, challenges, and outcomes.
- Share best practices and success stories across regions to foster continuous improvement.

Product Knowledge & Brand Advocacy:
- Ensure retail teams are thoroughly trained on The Sleep Company’s products, emphasizing features, benefits, and unique selling points.
- Promote brand values and customer service excellence in all training initiatives.

Event & Retail Support:
- Participate in regional sales events, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Visit retail locations periodically to observe staff performance, conduct refresher training, and provide hands-on guidance.

Travel & Work Hours Flexibility:
- Willingness to travel across the state and PAN India (at least 10-12 days/month).
- Stationed at TSC Guest House during NHT programs for at least 3 weeks per month (excluding Sundays).
- Work alternate Saturdays and during festive/high footfall days with compensatory off.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail training, sales, or related roles.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop engaging training content.
- Experience in conducting both virtual and on-site training sessions.
- Knowledge of retail operations and customer service standards.
- Ability to assess training effectiveness and implement improvements.
- Educational qualification: BTech, BSc, or equivalent preferred.
- Certifications in training or sales are a plus.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to different regional markets.
- Proficiency in MS Office and virtual training tools.
- Experience in the home furnishings or retail industry is advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in retail training, sales, or a similar role.
- Experience working across multiple regions or states is preferred.
Environment
- The role involves a mix of in-office, on-site, and virtual training environments.
- Frequent travel across regions and PAN India.
- Work during high footfall periods, including weekends and festive seasons.
- The position requires physical presence at retail locations and training venues.
