Our Quantum hardware team is responsible for designing and characterizing Quantum Processors, Cryogenic Quantum Control Circuits, RF Control Hardware, and QpiAI ASGP.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated quantum physicist to join our cutting-edge research and development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantum measurements, electrical engineering, and materials science, with a particular focus on the characterization of quantum devices. This role involves the design, implementation, and analysis of experiments to characterize the performance of superconducting quantum devices, such as qubits.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement experimental setups for the characterization of superconducting quantum devices.
- Analyze experimental data to evaluate device performance parameters such as coherence times, gate fidelities, and perform quantum state and process tomography.
- Develop and maintain experimental protocols to ensure reliable and accurate measurements.
- Optimize cryogenic experimental apparatus to enhance data accuracy and measurement reliability.
- Collaborate with the hardware team on circuit quantum electrodynamics (QED) and other quantum technologies.
- Document experiments, analysis, and findings in reports and publications.
Qualifications
- MSc, M.Tech, or PhD Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on quantum mechanics or quantum technology.
- Experience in designing and implementing experimental setups and performing quantum measurements using qubits.
- Strong skill set in cryogenic systems and microwave electronics for superconducting qubit device characterization is a plus.
- Solid understanding of circuit QED and error-correction schemes, especially in superconducting qubits.
- Proven track record of successful projects involving superconducting materials and devices.
- Proficient in data analysis software and programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills; must be a good team player.
Preferred Skills
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals or conference presentations in the field of quantum technology are a plus.
- Experience in writing analysis reports and presenting findings.
