The organization operates in a dynamic, project-driven environment where strong financial controls, cash flow discipline, and operational finance leadership are critical. Role Overview The company is looking to hire a Chartered Accountant with 6–8 years of post-qualification experience to work closely with the CFO. The role will involve overseeing the leading the payables team, cash flow planning, managing project cost controls, automation of existing processes and strengthening financial processes and systems. Key Responsibilities 1. Accounts Payables & Team Leadership · Lead and supervise the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. · Guide the team on invoice processing workflows, approvals, and documentation standards. · Ensure strong vendor management and payment discipline. 2. Cash Flow Management · Responsible for cash flow planning, forecasting, and monitoring. · Track project-level cash outflows and ensure alignment with budgets and funding cycles. · Monitor working capital requirements and optimize cash utilization. 3. Project Cost Control · Monitor film/project budgets and track actual spend vs approved budgets. · Provide periodic project-level financial insights to leadership. 4. Contracts & Legal Coordination · Act as the finance point of contact for commercial and legal contracts. · Review key commercial terms from a finance perspective and ensure financial compliance within agreements. · Coordinate with legal and production teams on contract-related financial implications. 5. Tax & Compliance Oversight · Supervise direct and indirect tax compliances and ensure timely filings. · Work closely with consultants/auditors to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. 6. Process Improvement & Automation · Drive process improvements within accounting and finance operations. · Strengthen internal controls and documentation practices. · Work on automation initiatives and improvements in Tally, including system optimization and workflow enhancements. 7. Systems & Reporting · Maintain strong control over Tally accounting systems and ensure accuracy of financial records. · Support the CFO in building efficient reporting frameworks for management. Ideal Candidate Profile · Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6–8 years of post-qualification experience. · Strong exposure to accounts payable, controllership, and operational finance. · Experience in cash flow management and cost monitoring. · Familiarity with contractual/commercial finance aspects. · Strong hands-on experience with Tally and finance process automation. · Ability to operate in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
