NIPHA Group is a 65-year-old engineering manufacturing company with 10 manufacturing facilities across India and the United States. The group manufactures products for power switching, agriculture, jute machinery, and other engineering sectors. With revenues growing from approximately ₹500 crore to ₹700 crore and multiple greenfield projects underway, the company is in a strong growth phase.

Job Summary

The Head of Human Resources (Corporate) will lead the Corporate HR function for the white-collar workforce while partnering closely with promoters and business leaders. This role is essential to building HR capabilities across talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, and HR policies, all of which contribute to the organization's overall growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with promoters and business leaders on people strategy.
  • Lead corporate HR for white-collar functions.
  • Strengthen leadership and critical talent acquisition.
  • Build Learning & Development and capability-building initiatives.
  • Drive performance management and appraisal cycles.
  • Formulate and implement HR policies and processes.
  • Mentor the HR team across corporate and plants.
  • Support HR for upcoming greenfield projects.
  • Travel regularly to manufacturing locations.

Qualifications

  • 15-20 years of HR experience.
  • Strong background in the manufacturing/engineering industry is mandatory.
  • Expertise in Human Resources Business Partnering (HRBP), Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development (L&D), and Performance Management.
  • Experience in policy formulation and stakeholder management.
  • Comfortable working with promoter-driven organizations.
  • Candidates should be male or female, preferably in their 40s.

  • Advanced skills in employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools.

Experience

  • A minimum of 15-20 years of relevant HR experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry.

Environment

  • This position requires frequent travel across manufacturing locations in West Bengal (Falta, Howrah, Chandannagar, Dankuni, Serampore) and occasionally to the Faridabad (Sector 6) plant.
  • The role will be part of a corporate HR team of approximately 2 members with an overall HR strength of 20-25 across locations. This role will be the senior-most HR leader.
