Associate Director / Director – Sourcing & Procurement

Job Summary

The Associate Director / Director – Sourcing & Procurement is responsible for leading the end-to-end sourcing and procurement functions across multiple categories including agri products, packaging, CAPEX, and raw materials. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization secures top-quality products at sustainable costs, maintaining supply chain continuity, and supporting business growth through strategic vendor management, cost optimization, and demand planning. The role involves managing a team, driving demand planning and S&OP alignment, and building strategic outsourcing partnerships to create a future-ready supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing strategy across all categories—F&B, packaging, services, raw materials, and CAPEX—including vendor identification, onboarding, and long-term contract negotiations. Establish a structured, proactive sourcing approach.
• Drive demand planning and S&OP alignment to ensure accurate inventory management, avoiding stock-outs or overstocking, and preventing supply disruptions.
• Drive cost optimization and budgeting through continuous cost reduction initiatives, commodity trend monitoring, and delivering measurable savings against procurement budgets.
• Manage vendor performance and development, ensuring high-quality supply, timely delivery, and seamless coordination with logistics, warehouse, and operations teams.
• Ensure quality and regulatory compliance across all sourced materials, maintaining high standards for food safety and quality.
• Lead outsourcing initiatives and strategic partnerships for warehousing, manufacturing, or other supply chain functions to enhance scalability and flexibility.
• Partner with the NPD (New Product Development) team to enable cost-effective, agile sourcing for new product launches, ensuring rapid scale-up without compromising quality or cost.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Dairy, perishable products, and grains.
• Exposure to IT and Capex sourcing.
• Proven experience managing a team of at least 4-5 individuals.
• Experience operating at a multi-geography level within India.
• Educational qualifications: MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 college preferred; Graduation from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 college also considered.
• Strong vendor management and strategic sourcing skills.
• Excellent demand planning, cost management, and negotiation capabilities.
• Knowledge of food safety, regulatory standards, and quality assurance.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in outsourcing and strategic partnerships.
• Familiarity with S&OP processes.
• Strong analytical skills for commodity trend analysis.
• Ability to build and manage vendor KPIs and performance scorecards.
• Experience with new product development (NPD) sourcing strategies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Experience

• Minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably within the F&B, agri, or perishable goods sectors.
• Demonstrated success in managing large teams and multi-geography sourcing operations.
• Proven track record of cost savings, vendor performance management, and supply chain optimization.

Environment

• The role is based in Delhi with a hybrid work environment, involving collaboration across multiple locations.
• The position requires active engagement with cross-functional teams including supply chain, quality, NPD, and logistics.
• The work involves managing multiple categories and vendor relationships, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
