Job Summary

The Head of Revenue will be a senior commercial leader responsible for owning daily and monthly revenue delivery across the business. This role encompasses managing the full revenue engine, including daily sales numbers, new revenue, existing revenue, supply-side productivity, partner productivity, field execution, and scalable revenue systems. The ideal candidate will have experience transitioning a business from founder-led brute-force execution to scalable operating processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own Daily and Monthly Revenue Delivery

    • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly revenue numbers across operating districts.
    • Drive both existing and new revenue and proactively identify revenue gaps.
    • Establish a strong operating rhythm for tracking and closure of revenue activities.
    • Transition revenue reviews from explanation-heavy to action-focused.
  • Build Scalable Revenue Systems

    • Convert brute-force execution into repeatable revenue mechanisms and playbooks.
    • Create scalable operating cadences for consistent revenue delivery.
    • Collaborate with tech/product teams to address recurring field and revenue challenges.
  • Own Supply-Side and Partner Productivity

    • Manage the productivity of the distributed partner and field network.
    • Enhance supply availability, partner activation, and reduce churn.
    • Develop early-warning systems for supply-side failures.
  • Integrate Category, Pricing, Ops, and Commercial Levers

    • Collaborate with various teams to diagnose revenue gaps and improve outcomes.
    • Ensure alignment between pricing, availability, and field execution.
    • Promote an integrated commercial view to prevent siloed decision-making.
  • Build and Lead the Revenue Organization

    • Assemble and lead a strong revenue and supply productivity team.
    • Cultivate a culture of ownership, speed, accountability, and adaptability.
    • Partner closely with the founder while reducing reliance on their input in revenue management.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 12-18 years of experience, ideally around 15 years in relevant fields.
  • Experience in environments such as mobility/on-demand businesses, logistics, field-heavy marketplaces, FMCG, telecommunications distribution, or rural commerce.
  • Must have owned hard revenue numbers and be comfortable under pressure.
  • Strong field orientation with experience managing large partner networks.
  • Ability to build systems, playbooks, dashboards, and tech/product loops.
  • Familiarity with P&L awareness and strong commercial judgment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building playbooks in complex environments.
  • Proven track record of moving from manual execution to scalable processes.
  • Familiarity working closely with product/tech teams to resolve operational issues.
  • History of hiring effectively under pressure and managing supply/demand levers.

Experience

  • Candidates should possess a significant background in scaling businesses and managing operational complexities, with a preference for those who have navigated high-growth, founder-led environments.

Environment

  • This role is based in Bangalore with significant time spent in various field locations across Tamil Nadu. The position is not suited for remote or desk-only work; a strong field affinity is essential.
