Job Purpose

The Head of Sales – Custody is responsible for driving business development, client acquisition, and revenue growth for the custody and clearing business. The role involves building strong relationships with institutional clients, understanding their safekeeping, settlement, and reporting needs, and positioning the firm’s custody solutions as their preferred choice.

 

 

Key Deliverables

  1. Business Development & Client Acquisition:
  •  Lead sales strategy for custody services across domestic and global institutional clients including asset managers, insurers, pension funds, family offices, and banks.
  • Identify new business opportunities, expand client base, and increase market share.
  • Drive end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting, pitching, negotiating, to deal closure.

 

  1. Client Relationship Management:

 

  • Build and maintain trusted senior-level relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Act as primary client advocate within the organization, ensuring seamless on boarding and superior client experience.
  • Work with product and operations teams to customise solutions as per client requirements.
  1. Revenue & Market Growth:
  • Deliver revenue and profitability targets for custody business.
  • Monitor competitor offerings and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  •   Develop and execute cross-sell strategies with other business lines (e.g., fund services, FX, clearing).

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Governance & Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and risk management requirements in all client dealings.
  • Maintain transparent reporting on pipeline, revenues, and client feedback to senior management.

 

Role Requirements

 

Education:

  • Graduate/Post-graduate in Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
  • 12–18 years of experience in custody, securities services, or institutional financial sales.
