Job Summary
We are looking for a L2 Support engineer to provide advanced support for our OpenShift platform. This position will play a crucial role in the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of our workflow automation system, aimed at simplifying current manual tasks. The role requires hands-on experience and contributes significantly to ensuring high availability and reliability of the OpenShift environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain OpenShift environments.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of the OpenShift platform.
- Monitor and optimize cluster performance.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) using Ceph storage.
- Implement security best practices within the cluster.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the OpenShift environment.
- Collaborate with development teams for seamless application deployment.
- Document procedures and provide training to team members.
- Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery operations.
Qualifications
- 3-6+ years of experience in administrating Kubernetes or OpenShift environments.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) using Ceph storage.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices.
- Knowledge of networking and security within containerized environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift, Loki stack, Docker, Ansible, Linux administration, Git, Prometheus/Grafana, software-defined networking (SDN), OVN Kubernetes, and Shell scripting.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in relevant fields, specifically focusing on Kubernetes and OpenShift administration.
Environment
- This position requires the ability to work in a 24x7 Rotational Coverage / On-call Support schedule.
Salary
- Budgeted salary of 10 LPA.
