Associate Manager Infrastructure Services
Job Summary
The Associate Manager of Infrastructure Services will be responsible for the administration, design, and implementation of EMC Storage solutions within the organization. This role is crucial for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of storage systems, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Administer, design, and implement EMC Storage arrays including Symmetrix, VMAX, PMAX, Unity, XtremIO, Isilon, and VNX.
- Configure and manage SRDF and TimeFinder in EMC storage environments.
- Conduct performance analysis of storage arrays and optimize performance.
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot Fabric Environments using Brocade and Cisco switches.
- Manage and administer ECC, ensuring effective storage management.
- Provide operational support on a 24x7 rotation basis, resolving issues quickly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Oversee storage provisioning, including LUN creation, masking, and mapping of EMC VMAX/PMAX and Unity arrays.
- Liaise with hardware vendors and EMC support to resolve complex hardware issues.
Qualifications
- Total Experience: Minimum 6-10 years.
- Relevant Experience: 5-8 years in EMC Storage administration and management.
- Strong knowledge of EMC storage technologies and performance optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, and Change Management.
- Hands-on experience with storage management applications such as Storage Essentials and ECC.
- System administration experience on HPUX or Sun Solaris, with knowledge of Volume Manager concepts.
- Scripting knowledge is preferred.
- Certifications in EMC technology are an added advantage.
