Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Integration Engineer who can work with the Linux Product Team on various projects within the business. This role involves driving product development, conducting impact analysis, providing inputs to leads, proposing branching strategies, and mentoring junior team members. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team in a fast-paced Agile environment, ensuring quality and meeting timeline goals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
• Perform requirements capture and participate in setting standards for various stages in the project lifecycle.
• Lead the team to deliver a high-quality product on a defined schedule.
• Highlight risks and gaps early in the project lifecycle to identify the correct path forward.
• Evaluate new tools and technology to ensure an automated and stable environment.
• Conduct impact analysis (architecture, technical teams, baseline) and provide inputs to leads.
• Propose branching strategies and interim milestones.
• Manage code freeze for each release and intercept release criteria for key customers, including sanity, stability, conformance test suites, power, and performance testing.
• Define tasks and work breakdown, including time estimation.
• Collaborate closely with Software and Test Teams.
• Maintain the current Continuous Integration (CI) system, including defect investigation.
• Play a role in the continuous development of departmental processes.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or a proven history of experience in the technical field.
• Mandatory Skills:
  • Knowledge of building continuous integration pipelines.
  • Thorough understanding of software configuration management, especially using Git.
  • Understanding of bug databases and their usage (e.g., Orbit).
  • Good understanding of build systems and debug techniques.
  • Familiarity with Android software architecture and configuration management.
  • Experience with Git and designing/optimizing deployment scripts and processes.
  • Proficient in GNU/Linux Shell scripting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven success in taking ownership of CI systems for embedded products requiring extensive hardware testing infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of embedded software to support CI systems for products.
