Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ror Software Engineer with a strong background in software engineering. The ideal candidate will take ownership of functional modules within our systems or services, and contribute significantly to our projects through design, development, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one functional module of the system or service.
• Take ownership of the design and quality of the service as the SME.
• Maintain a say/do ratio of > 95% in execution to ensure reliability and accountability.
• Conduct code reviews and act as a quality gatekeeper for the SME area.
• Assist and mentor junior team members to foster skill development.
• Enforce code reviews and ensure adequate test coverage in the modules owned.
• Guarantee there are no regressions in the modules owned.
• Participate in interview panels to help grow and strengthen the organization.

Qualifications

• Overall experience: 8+ years in software engineering.
• Relevant experience: 3.5+ years in Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).
• Solid experience with web services and understanding of RESTful web services.
• Proficiency in JavaScript dependency management and build tools.
• Experience with databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with strong self-direction and team collaboration abilities.
• Experience using Git/GitHub is essential.
• Educational qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.

• Budget for the position is 1.9 LPM (Lakhs per Month).
