Job Summary
The ServiceNow Developer will leverage over 5 years of development, configuration, and integration experience with the ServiceNow platform. This role is expected to contribute to the successful implementation and maintenance of ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions through expert knowledge and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and integrate solutions on the ServiceNow platform with a focus on ITOM modules.
- Maintain instance integrity and security in accordance with ServiceNow best practices.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) across all application suites relevant to the product line.
- Provide oversight of developers’ work, ensuring quality and timely delivery of development artifacts and documentation.
- Conduct sprint demos, facilitate knowledge transfer activities, and write/estimate user stories in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot production and test issues; perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver technical workshops on ITOM topics such as Discovery, CMDB, and Service Mapping.
- Engage in the hands-on development of features that require delegation due to complexity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: More than 5 years of experience in development, configuration, and integration on the ServiceNow platform.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Java, HTML, JavaScript, LDAP/Active Directory, networking, and database administration.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools, methods, and processes.
- Understanding of ITOM modules, particularly ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Event Management.
- Experience with CMDB Health dashboards and remediation processes for duplicate and stale Configuration Items (CIs).
- Knowledge of multi-data center deployment solutions and disaster recovery procedures.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in Discovery and Service Mapping are preferred.
- Basic knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Monitoring tools.
- Experience with import sets, transform maps, and external data sources within ServiceNow.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ServiceNow development and ITOM implementations.
