Senior Software Engineer (React)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Developer with proven expertise in React.js. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and customizing existing features in React.js applications and leading new development using React. You should have a strong background in building complex web applications, a solid understanding of modern frontend architecture, and a passion for delivering high-quality, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Lead new feature development using React.js, ensuring high performance and responsive UI.
• Customize and enhance existing applications built with React.js, including bug fixes and feature updates.
• Collaborate with backend developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Participate in architectural decisions and help modernize the frontend stack.
• Ensure code quality via reviews, automated testing, and adherence to best practices.
• Help mentor junior developers and contribute to the overall growth of the frontend team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of overall experience in frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with React.js, including:
  • Hooks
  • State management (e.g., Redux, Zustand)
  • Component-based architecture, including customization, routing, services, and Ember Data
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL (preferred), and modern frontend tooling (Webpack, Babel, etc.).
• Experience in writing unit and integration tests using tools like Jest, Mocha, Cypress, etc.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Version control experience using Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and frontend deployment processes.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of React Native, PHP, and Node.js is a plus.

Experience

• A minimum of 6+ years of experience in frontend development is required.

Environment

• Hybrid working model in Mumbai, combining both remote and in-office work.
