Job Summary

The Business Finance Lead will serve as a strategic financial partner to SolarSquare’s management team, supporting key initiatives such as financial planning, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making. This role involves working closely with sales, operations, and design teams to connect business metrics with financial health, ensuring the company scales efficiently and profitably. The ideal candidate will leverage financial analysis, data interpretation, and advanced reporting tools to drive strategic growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and financial forecasting processes, ensuring optimal resource allocation to support strategic growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with department heads to optimize unit economics, monitor project profitability, margins, and operational cost efficiencies.
• Translate complex financial data and actuals vs. budget variance into clear, actionable strategies for the leadership team.
• Design and track core business KPIs to monitor sales pipeline health, revenue realization, and early warning signs of financial risk.
• Act as a financial bridge across Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain functions to enhance capital efficiency and facilitate scaling.
• Develop executive-level financial narratives and automated dashboards to enable rapid, data-backed decision-making by the founders.
• Drive special cross-functional projects to evaluate new business opportunities and improve internal efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: CA (Chartered Accountant) or MBA in Finance from Tier 1 institutions.
• Experience: 3-7 years of relevant experience in Business Finance, with a proven track record in financial analysis, planning, and reporting.
• Strong financial analysis and business acumen.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (advanced level).
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Comfortable working with complex datasets and leveraging AI for problem-solving.
• Experience in MIS reporting and dashboard creation.
• Strong data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau (preferred).

• Experience working in renewable energy, solar, or related industries.
• Familiarity with financial modeling and scenario analysis.
