Job Description
Chief of Staff to CEO
Job Summary
Looking for a high-potential business leader to join the CEO's Office as Chief of Staff. This is a strategic, high-visibility role designed as a launchpad: the successful candidate will work directly with the CEO and senior leadership on projects of company-wide strategic importance, and — based on performance and business need — will subsequently move into a Profit and Loss (P&L) / business leadership role, either within India or in one of brand’s international markets.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the CEO on strategic, operational, and organizational priorities.
- Lead and drive multiple cross-functional strategic projects simultaneously — spanning growth/expansion, new business incubation, operational excellence, cost optimization, and organizational transformation.
- Translate CEO and leadership team priorities into structured execution plans with clear owners, timelines, and metrics; track progress and unblock issues.
- Prepare board and investor-facing materials, business reviews, and leadership communications.
- Represent the CEO's office in cross-functional forums, ensuring alignment across Operations, Finance, Marketing, HR, and Supply Chain.
- Conduct market, competitive, and business analyses to inform strategic decisions (new markets, brand expansion, category adjacencies).
- Build the operating rigor and processes needed to scale a multi-brand, multi-geography organization.
- Partner closely with business unit and functional heads to gain ground-level operating exposure — a deliberate part of preparation for a future P&L role.
Qualifications
- 8–12 years of overall experience.
- Background in strategy consulting, corporate strategy/CEO's office roles, or strong general management/P&L-adjacent experience in F&B, retail, QSR, or consumer businesses — open to strong candidates from other high-rigor backgrounds.
- MBA from a top-tier institute preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with C-suite/leadership, with strong executive presence and communication skills.
- High ownership mindset — comfortable moving between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort with ambiguity.
- Willingness and eagerness to eventually relocate (within India or internationally) for a P&L role.
- Prior exposure to multi-unit, multi-geography, or consumer-facing businesses is a plus.
