Job Summary
The Head of Human Resources will lead and build the HR function during a critical growth phase. This role is responsible for establishing a strong people and culture foundation, aligning HR strategies with business objectives, and partnering closely with the founder and leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in corporate HR, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and culture building within high-growth, technology-driven environments. This position requires a strategic yet hands-on approach, capable of operating in a lean, entrepreneurial, and founder-led setting, with a focus on scalable HR practices that support rapid organizational expansion.
Responsibilities
- HR Strategy & Business Partnering: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with growth objectives; partner with leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and key talent decisions.
- Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding: Lead talent acquisition efforts for technical, engineering, corporate, and leadership roles; enhance employer brand and build a strong talent pipeline.
- Culture & Employee Engagement: Foster a high-performance, entrepreneurial, and collaborative culture; drive initiatives around employee engagement, communication, recognition, and organizational effectiveness.
- Performance & People Development: Implement performance management frameworks; support managers in setting expectations, providing feedback, and managing performance; drive talent development and succession planning.
- HR Operations & Processes: Establish and optimize core HR processes, policies, and systems; ensure compliance with employment laws; develop HR metrics and dashboards for data-driven decision-making.
- Team Building & HR Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing HR team; define roles, processes, and operating rhythms; coach HR team members and business leaders to develop capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 8–12 years of experience in HR, preferably within technology, aerospace, advanced engineering, deeptech, hardware, or high-growth organizations.
- Strong expertise in HR Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Culture, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, and HR Operations.
- Proven experience in building HR processes, systems, and practices in evolving organizations.
- Deep understanding of corporate HR practices beyond traditional plant/labor HR.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with engineering, technology, and leadership teams.
- Hands-on approach with the capacity to independently execute multiple HR priorities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high ownership attitude and adaptability to changing priorities.
