Type: Replacement Role
Reporting to: Akhilesh Kumar (who reports to Amar Khullar)
Operation Team Size: 130
Payment Operation team: 18 to 20 people across India, Japan and USA
Role spans both the businesses: Consumer (InstaRem) and Enterprise (NIUM)
Role Scope: Cross border countries such as Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, EU, UK, USA. Will be expanding to Africa soon.
Key Attributes for the Role: (in addition to the JD shared)
- Must have experience in International Payments Operations.
- Should be comfortable with client facing and interactions.
- Must be equipped to understand products from a tech standpoint.
- Should be able to implement and execute a succession plan for transactions.
Budget: 40 - 50 Lacs fixed
Experience: 10 to 15 years
Talent Pool: Banks (shared services), Fintech, Startups (where layoffs are initiated)
Location: Mumbai (Bangalore can be considered for exceptional candidates)
Role: Director – Payment Operations Reporting to: VP – Transaction Operations Job Profile: • Provide leadership and direction to the global Payment Operations teams based in Mumbai, USA & Japan • Define the global operations strategy to deliver best in class payment services across all Nium products & platforms • Define service standards and maintain oversight of all aspects of payment operations, including – o Onboarding of Enterprise clients o Payment Processing o Fund Movements o Investigation & Error Management o Refund Processing • Partner with key stakeholders in Product, Technology, Risk & Compliance to – o Implement new products and services o Improve existing products o Increase payment and process efficiency • Develop deep understanding of Nium Platforms, Products & Service Offerings and Global Payment Network • Sponsor projects to improve operational efficiency and service quality • Collaborate with various department leaders to improve operational performance across functions • Manage performance, learning and development requirements of team members • Mentor and coach team members to achieve individual and department objectives Requirements • 10-15 years of experience in cross border payments • Strong understanding of payments industry and related products & regulations • Experience of managing and scaling global teams • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced work environment • Data oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems • Strong written and verbal communication skills • People and stakeholder management skills • Hands-on and detail-oriented approach • Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate the global needs of the business • No. of direct reportees : Global teams – About 20 people across India, USA and Japan • Location : Mumbai ______________________________________
