Job Summary

The Director of Engineering will lead product development teams in Hyderabad, overseeing their daily operations to meet business and project objectives. This role focuses on managing and mentoring diverse teams comprising software developers, quality engineers, and product developers to ensure successful software delivery. Additionally, this leader will be responsible for performance feedback, coaching, and guiding teams toward achieving future success.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage software development teams to ensure adherence to architectural strategies, coding standards, and organizational policies.
• Engage in software architectural discussions, influencing decisions, and collaborating with peers for consistency across projects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery capabilities.
• Contribute to product strategy, including defining architectural processes and development methodologies.

• Build and mentor a motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled software engineering team.
• Manage personnel activities, including hiring, training, setting goals, appraising performance, motivating, and, if necessary, recommending termination.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• At least 8-10 years of experience leading software development teams or projects.
• Proficient in software development design and experienced with Agile methodologies.
• Strong organizational, leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Understanding of Incident Management, Configuration Management, operational efficiency, and customer management preferred.
• Experience supervising software development teams and processes, including coaching and mentoring.
• Ability to attract and retain top talent with high standards and expectations for innovation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as SAP or Oracle E-Business.
• Familiarity with networking, APIs, and ETL tooling and processes.
• Experience building high-volume, high-performance, scalable enterprise applications.
• Experience with cloud, hosted, or Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.

Experience

• Total Experience: Over 15 years in the software industry.
• Relevant Experience: At least 8 years utilizing the Microsoft development platform for backend and web applications such as .NET framework, .NET Core, and ASP.NET, as well as experience with Java.
