Job Summary

The Power BI Tester will be a crucial member of the testing team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic Power BI reports and dashboards. This role will enable stakeholders to gain insights from test metrics and enhance the overall reporting processes to support the organization's testing projects effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain dynamic Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to the needs of testing projects and stakeholders.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from qTest and other test management tools to create meaningful insights.
• Collaborate closely with Test Managers, QA teams, and project stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
• Implement improvements in reporting processes and tools to enhance data accuracy, timeliness, and usability.
• Automate data refreshes and report distributions to ensure stakeholders have real-time access to testing metrics.
• Provide training and support to team members on how to interpret and utilize reports.
• Monitor and analyze test metrics such as defect trends, test coverage, execution progress, and quality indicators.
• Work with IT and data teams to troubleshoot data integration issues between qTest and reporting platforms.
• Stay current with best practices and new features in Power BI and qTest to continually enhance reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Power BI experience: 5 years of hands-on experience (rated 5/5).
• qTest experience: 5 years of experience (rated 5/5).
• Test Lead experience: 5 years of experience (rated 5/5).
• Proficiency in data visualization and reporting techniques.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret and communicate testing metrics effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience with additional reporting tools and test management software.
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, etc.) for data manipulation and extraction.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.

Experience

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Power BI testing and data analysis.

Environment

• This is a remote position.
• Work hours can start between 11 AM to 2 PM and end between 8 PM to 11 PM.
