Job Summary
The Lead Product Manager will own the entire lifecycle of the customer app, shaping it from an initial concept to a fully operational product. This role is pivotal in driving user engagement and revenue generation through innovative features and lending journeys while contributing directly to the company's growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full product lifecycle of the customer App — including strategy, roadmap, delivery, and iteration.
- Design and implement hook product experiences such as credit score tools and financial health mechanisms aimed at driving new customer acquisition and engagement.
- Manage lending journeys within the app, covering loan discovery, application, disbursement, and repayment, ensuring integration with its core Loan Origination System (LOS) and Loan Management System (LMS).
- Define and execute a monetization strategy that includes partnerships, cross-sell opportunities, and fees beyond traditional lending.
- Analyze the app's role as a sourcing channel through metrics related to user funnels, drop-off rates, and lead quality, informing credit and collections strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Mobile Engineers and coordinate cross-functionally with Credit & Risk and Collections teams.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5-8 years in product management, with a minimum of 3 years managing a consumer-facing mobile app end-to-end.
- Industry knowledge: Specific experience in fintech, lending, or Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI), with a strong preference for Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFC), digital lending, or credit-led consumer applications.
- Startup Acumen: Comfortable operating within an early-to-growth stage company, having successfully scaled products from initial launch to substantial user bases.
- Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of growth funnels, activation metrics, and retention challenges related to feature delivery.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to write clear Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), work independently with engineers, and manage Quality Assurance (QA) cycles.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with India-specific fintech regulations including Account Aggregator (AA), National Automated Clearing House (NACH), Know Your Customer (KYC), and bureau integrations.
- Innovation Mindset: A strong inclination towards leveraging Artificial Intelligence within the product management discipline.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in designing hook products, like credit scoring and spend tracking tools that enhance the lending conversion process.
- Understanding of compliance constraints set by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) on consumer data handling.
- Experience working with informal-income or underserved borrower segments.
Experience
5-6 years of relevant experience with a strong track record in product management focusing on consumer mobile applications.
