Job Summary

As a Security Analyst on the SAP Security team, you will collaborate with other Security Analysts to analyze, build, and maintain the Enterprise SAP Security Roles effectively. This role is essential for supporting multiple business divisions within John Deere, and you will operate with moderate autonomy while having access to experienced team members for guidance.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SAP Security Roles efficiently.
• Participate in and adhere to documented Change Management Processes.
• Engage in peer reviews of SAP Security role changes to ensure quality.
• Utilize Information Security tools to analyze security events and data, gaining insights into access patterns and outcomes.
• Deliver fundamental tasks related to cybersecurity and develop a deeper understanding of security patterns.
• Apply current IT security policies to ensure compliance with established standards set by GSEC SAP security.
• Understand and manage security system parameters and tables utilized within security tools and applications.
• Follow established techniques and processes to address administrative issues and leverage analytical skills to resolve low to moderate-level security issues.
• Contribute to projects linked to existing processes and tools, actively seeking improvements.
• Make decisions on requests that deviate from standard processes, ensuring security protocols are followed.
• Support Segregation of Duties (SoD) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) reviews and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 7 to 9 years of experience in SAP Security or a related information security role.
• Proficiency in SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance).
• Strong understanding of application security, with knowledge of security in SAP environments.
• Familiarity with Power BI and SQL for data handling and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of access and risk management practices.
• Effective communication skills to engage with peers and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional security frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with broader cybersecurity trends and technologies.
• Certification in information security (e.g., CISSP, CISM) would be advantageous.

Experience

• 7 to 9 years of relevant professional experience in information security, specifically focused on SAP environments and security management.
