DGM Finance

Job Summary

The DGM Finance is responsible for managing the accounts of assigned subsidiary companies, including the finalization and consolidation of accounts, as well as conducting necessary analyses. This role also involves overseeing tax and statutory audits for projects and managing payments related to Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), service tax, and foreign remittances.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the Balance Sheet in compliance with prevalent rules and regulations.
  • Finalize and consolidate books of accounts for subsidiaries and projects.
  • Analyze the accounts of subsidiaries and projects, evaluating the books prepared at the regional office and rectifying any errors.
  • Ensure timely payments to consultants and vendors residing outside of India, including obtaining necessary certifications.
  • Calculate TDS and ensure compliance with Direct and Indirect Tax regulations, including timely submission of TDS Certificates.
  • Assist auditors during the audit process by providing required data, resolving queries, and preparing necessary documents.
  • Validate documents from regional offices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage SAP implementation by providing requirements to vendors and training personnel at the regional office.
  • Comply with company-defined guidelines and processes while adhering to project timelines.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.

Qualifications

  • Educational Qualifications: CA (Chartered Accountant), CS (Company Secretary), or MBA in Finance.
  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in financial reporting and general accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax compliance and audit processes.
  • Experience with SAP or similar financial software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in general accounting and financial reporting.
