Job Summary

The AWS Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud architecture and infrastructure for the organization, specifically leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role will focus on optimizing cloud costs, ensuring security compliance, and maintaining high availability and scalability within the cloud environment. The architect will work collaboratively with development teams to deliver efficient and robust cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Design: Define overall AWS architecture for the organization, including compute, networking, storage, and CI/CD components. Create ArchiMate diagrams and produce reference architectures.
• Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for consistent and auditable environments.
• Cost Management & Optimization: Design solutions for cost efficiency, provide monthly cost analyses, and advise on cost control measures.
• Security & Compliance: Define security architecture including VPC configuration and IAM roles, and ensure alignment with compliance standards such as PCI, PII, and GDPR.
• Networking & Connectivity: Develop secure network topology, ensuring reliable connectivity and low-latency for integrated systems.
• Data Platform & Integration: Architect data flow for ingestion, streaming, and storage, while collaborating on data schemas and retention policies.
• Reliability, Performance & Scalability: Define strategies for high availability, scaling, and performance monitoring, and implement auto-scaling and caching solutions.
• CI/CD & Developer Experience: Establish CI/CD pipelines, enable blue/green deployments, and provide developer-centric tools and templates.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience: 7 to 12 years of experience architecting cloud solutions on AWS.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and container orchestration platforms such as EKS or ECS/Fargate.
  • Understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of data platforms: Kafka, RDS/Postgres, and DynamoDB.
• Certifications: Recommended AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Professional or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Strong background in logging and monitoring solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry).
• Familiarity with data lakes and analytics frameworks.

Experience

7 to 12 years of relevant experience in cloud architecture and design is required.

Environment

This position is remote, allowing flexibility in work setup.

Salary

Estimated budget for this role is 1.3 LPM (Lakhs Per Month).
