Job Summary

The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will lead the development of a differentiated private credit and structured investments platform focused on performing credit, structured debt, and real estate-backed financing opportunities. This role is crucial for setting investment strategies, executing deals, underwriting, and deploying capital across institutional-grade alternative investment opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing, evaluation, and execution of private credit and structured debt opportunities.
  • Drive underwriting, due diligence, transaction structuring, and investment decision-making.
  • Build and manage performing credit and real estate-backed financing portfolios.
  • Lead fundraising initiatives across ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNI), family offices, and institutional investor ecosystems.
  • Build relationships across developers, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), intermediaries, lenders, and investment partners.
  • Structure transactions through NBFC and institutional channels, including distribution and downsell of debt opportunities into the market where relevant.
  • Establish disciplined portfolio monitoring and risk governance frameworks.

Qualifications

  • 10–18+ years of experience in Private Credit, Structured Finance, Debt Funds, Real Estate Financing, or NBFC Lending.
  • Strong expertise in credit underwriting, structured finance, and transaction execution.
  • Experience with institutional capital deployment and alternative investments.
  • A strong network across developers, lenders, intermediaries, and investor ecosystems is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing private credit or Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) platforms.
  • Exposure to structured real estate financing and special situations investments.
  • Existing relationships with family offices and institutional allocators.

Experience

  • A minimum of 10 to 18+ years of relevant experience.
