Job Summary

The General Accounting Analyst plays a critical role in managing accounting functions and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This position contributes to the organization’s goals by maintaining financial integrity and facilitating compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in all financial reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with internal audits and resolve audit inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progressing towards certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
