Job Summary
As the Vice President / Head of Finance, you will lead the financial strategy, planning, and governance of the company. You will be responsible for budgeting, operational efficiency, compliance, and financial reporting to ensure strong financial health and investor confidence. This role requires a strategic thinker who can work cross-functionally with legal, HR, and operations to drive business growth and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Business Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function with a forward-looking, business-oriented approach, delivering insights that drive strategic and operational decisions.
- Manage product-level financial analysis, including recurring lifecycle evaluations across pricing, revenue, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and margin performance.
- Own the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes at company, vertical, and product levels.
- Design financial models to evaluate new initiatives, pricing changes, business scenarios, and product-market fit from a financial perspective.
- Build and maintain a robust Management Information System (MIS) for internal reporting and prepare investor decks, board reports, and financial dashboards for key stakeholders.
- Ensure strict compliance with Company Law, SEBI, RBI, and other financial regulations while managing statutory audits and liaising with auditors to maintain financial transparency.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualifications: CA (Chartered Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 12+ years in digital banking, payments, lending, or B2B financial solutions, preferably in fast-growing startups or enterprises.
- Deep expertise in financial planning, MIS, taxation, compliance, and operational finance.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in automation and ERP financial systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working with investors, auditors, and legal teams.
- Experience in managing fundraising, M&A, and corporate restructuring is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Proven ability to drive financial decisions and be a strategic leader.
- Experience in developing ROI frameworks and payback models.
- Familiarity with direct and indirect tax matters, including GST and income tax.
Experience
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in finance, with a focus on business finance and financial planning & analysis.

- The role is based in Mumbai, India. It may involve a mix of in-office and remote work, depending on company policies and project requirements.
