Job Summary

The Sr Project Manager is responsible for managing project(s) to ensure timeliness, quality of construction, and overall profitability. This role involves tracking, monitoring, and coordinating on-site activities in collaboration with Project Management Consultants and contractors, as well as liaison with various functions including Design, Marketing & Sales, Legal, and Finance to achieve Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.

Responsibilities

• Track expenditures against the allocated project budget and highlight variations.
• Certify bills from consultants and ensure timely payments by coordinating with Contacts and Accounts.
• Prepare requests for proposals for outsourcing services such as infrastructure and cabling.
• Identify and conduct comparative analysis of suitable vendors for various contracts.
• Develop detailed project plans including work schedules and risk mitigation strategies in coordination with project management consultants.
• Conduct weekly review meetings with contractors and consultants to monitor work progress and resolve issues.
• Monitor quality of work through regular visual inspections and scrutinize reports from Project Management Consultants.
• Prepare monthly project update reports and communicate these updates to the Accounts and Sales teams.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
• Experience:
  • 10-12 years of relevant work experience in the construction industry, specifically in managing projects on-site.
• Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of the real estate development business.
  • Strong construction management expertise.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with new technologies in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of value engineering principles.
  • Proficient in MS Project.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing consultants and contractors.
• Knowledge of the latest technologies and materials in construction.

Experience

• 10-12 years relevant work experience in the construction industry.

Environment

• The position is based in Kurukshetra, and may involve frequent site visits to ensure project adherence to schedules and quality standards.
