Job Summary
The Instructor Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective utilisation, compliance, and engagement of instructors across all vendor training programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring instructors are appropriately certified, supported, and aligned with vendor requirements. Acting as the primary liaison between instructors, vendors, operations, and technical teams, the Instructor Manager drives quality, consistency, and operational efficiency to deliver best-in-class training outcomes.
Responsibilities

Instructor Management & Utilisation (20%)
- Monitor instructor utilisation and allocate resources effectively.
- Act as main point of contact for instructor queries on vendor requirements/updates.
- Conduct quarterly catch-ups to share updates and address concerns.

Upskilling & Certification Management (30%)
- Ensure instructor certifications are current and valid.
- Provide exam vouchers promptly when requested.
- Track certification renewals to ensure timely completion.
- Research and communicate vendor requirements accurately.

Lab Version Control & Alignment (5%)
- Monitor latest courseware version releases.
- Liaise with tech team/PIC to update labs in line with requirements.
- Coordinate with Ops to align training content with vendor requirements.

Onboarding & Engagement of Instructors (5%)
- Manage onboarding of new instructors, including access to systems.
- Provide vendor system resources (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Check Point).

Process & Skills Matrix Management (6%)
- Document and improve processes for instructor-related matters.
- Maintain an up-to-date instructor skills matrix with certifications and competencies.

Recruitment Guidance & Workforce Planning (5%)
- Provide recommendations for recruitment of new instructors.
- Research upskilling pathways for new hires without certifications.

Vendor Reporting & Relationship Management (12%)
- Prepare and submit accurate vendor reports on time.
- Act as main contact for vendors on compliance and enablement.
- Monitor vendor updates and share changes internally.

Instructor Issue Resolution & Lab Issue Follow Up (15%)
- Act as first point of contact for instructor/vendor-related issues.
- Follow up on lab issues flagged by management/sales and ensure corrective actions.
- Support sales/management with instructor engagement in marketing strategies and client calls.
Qualifications

Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Education, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing instructors, trainers, or technical professionals.
- Proven track record in process improvement and documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

- Postgraduate qualifications in education, training, or management.
- Experience working with multiple vendors (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, Cisco, AWS).
- Exposure to developing/updating training content and lab environments.
- Experience in vendor relationship management and compliance reporting.
- Experience contributing to recruitment and workforce planning for training teams.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and related technologies.
