Job Description for Quant Fund Manager
- We want a Fund Manager who runs MF/PMS/AIF on a Quant Basis.
- He needs to Develop and Implement Quantitative Methodology, Design, develop, and implement quantitative models based on predefined parameters to run a portfolio and do back-testing on the parameters.
- Conduct thorough research on financial markets, securities, and macroeconomic trends to identify investment opportunities and risks.
- Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven insights to continuously refine and optimize quantitative strategies.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the portfolio from market fluctuations and unexpected events.
- Ensure trades are executed on a timely and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with fund objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk parameters.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the fund, making data-driven decisions to enhance overall returns.
- Communicate investment strategies, performance updates, and market insights to clients and distributor partners. Write research notes on the fund and market for media presence.
- Work closely with research analysts, traders, and other team members to gather insights, share expertise, and collectively contribute to the fund's success.
- Stay informed about industry trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes, adjusting strategies as needed to align with evolving market conditions.
- Participate in strategy discussions and contribute to the development of new approaches and product ideas. Improvement and implementation of new ideas on existing products.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and internal policies governing fund management activities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS, PhD) preferred.
- Strong proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, or similar tools used in quantitative finance.
- Experience with data analysis, machine learning, and big data technologies is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a fund manager, particularly in Quantitative strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial markets.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
