Provide strategic direction to the organization and all departments to facilitate achievement of business targets
Undertake corporate financial planning and prepare annual financial budgets for the organization and specific departments in collaboration with the CEO & concerned Heads of Department
Direct the development, maintenance, and implementation of all accounting policies & procedures in compliance with accounting standards
Oversee management of corporate taxation and compliance with applicable laws to ensure that the organization’s finances are accurately reported, and taxes optimized
Formulate and implement a treasury strategy to ensure organization funds are leveraged for maximum returns and for meeting funding requirements
Closely monitor cash flows and take necessary steps to ensure continuous availability of working capital
Financial controls to ensure both capital expenditure and operational expenditure are within the budget
Oversee financial management of the Manufacturing Unit to optimize on inventory, receivables and payables and ensure an optimal cash conversion cycle
Provide inputs for business plan of Our Food and operational plans and set budgets, financial KPIs and targets for each state
Continuously monitor Return on Investment of each state and advise CEO on course correction from time to time
Arrange for additional funds from various sources such as Banks, Private Equity firms etc. and ensure maintenance of a healthy debt equity ratio
Identify organization wide risks and initiate corrective measures to mitigate risk
Monitor Financial MIS for business parameters and take appropriate action on a timely basis
Develop strategies to reduce costs and drive organization / department wide cost reduction initiatives
Ensure timely submission of relevant documents, forms, returns etc. in line with regulations stipulated by government bodies and authorities
Liaise with banks, regulatory bodies, external statutory and other financial institutions to ensure cost effective transactions and maximum benefit to the organization
Systems, Processes and Policies
Build and establish appropriate financial management systems, processes, and policies to enable smooth functioning of business
Design, develop, and implement IT-enabled systems to automate Financial Management processes
Ensure adherence to legal guidelines and policies to maintain the business ethics
Define metrics to gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of processes
Funding & IPO
Evaluate and determine the right type of investor and timing of investment for Our Food
Understand the nuance and potential implications of all the clauses, calculate risk and reward, and optimize the deal terms accordingly
Ensure efficient management of the due diligence process
Ensure that the funds are being effectively managed and deployed
Liaise with banks and financial institutions to get approvals for third party funding (to farmer franchisees towards purchase of micro-processing equipment)
Lead and prepare the organization for IPO
Audit
Identify and appoint external statutory auditors for Our Food
Liaise with external statutory auditors and provide required support to ensure timely conduct of the statutory audit process as per predefined schedules and timelines
Develop the internal audit strategy for the company in line with internal audit guidelines and legal stipulations
People Management
Foster an environment of learning, excellence, and innovation within all aspects of teamwork
Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team’s capabilities and handle greater responsibilities
Job Specifications
CA/MBA Finance with 10-12 years of experience in financial management
Experience in fund raising and capital market transactions
Must have experience of working in an established company leading the Finance function
Excellent knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, taxation, cost control principles and standards
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and analysis
Knowledge of financial regulations
Must have strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Hands-on experience with risk management
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience of working with a high-growth startup is a plus
