Senior Software Engineer (Platform and Data)

Job Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer (Platform and Data), you will design, implement, and maintain high-quality backend APIs and services that power the company’s core operations. Your work will ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability across multiple product lines, directly impacting the growth and success of the platform. You will work primarily with Node.js, TypeScript, Azure, and MongoDB while contributing to innovative solutions that support data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend solutions, ensuring high performance and resilience.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to build complex backend features and integrations.
• Maintain and enhance existing integrations, ensuring scalability as the company grows.
• Optimize and troubleshoot backend systems, resolving performance issues and improving developer experience.
• Develop a unified API for insights data, enabling seamless access across product teams.
• Store and process large-scale insights and metrics from various data providers.
• Advance engineering practices and standards, contributing to the evolution of the platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in large-scale software application development.
• Proven success working in a remote startup environment.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
• Strong experience with asynchronous message queue systems.
• Deep knowledge of MongoDB or other document-based databases.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL concepts, and simplifying data architecture.
• Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms for scalable infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in a business context.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a pragmatic approach to technical challenges.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the AdTech industry.
• Interest in AI/ML and its applications in data-driven insights.
