Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with over 8 years of expertise to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through a blend of manual and automation testing. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving quality initiatives across web and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Java, JavaScript, Selenium, and Cypress.
  • Conduct thorough manual and automation testing for web and mobile applications to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Develop, execute, and document detailed test cases, scripts, and scenarios for API, UI, and end-to-end testing.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and identify potential quality risks.
  • Implement API testing strategies and use appropriate tools to validate backend services.
  • Analyze test results, identify bugs, and track issues to resolution, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Continuously enhance test processes and methodologies to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as an SDET or in a similar QA automation role.
  • Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium and Cypress for automation testing.
  • Proficiency with TypeScript for scripting and test development.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in both manual and automation testing methodologies.
  • In-depth experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
  • Experience in mobile application testing (iOS and/or Android).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance, automation, and manual testing.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and maintaining automated test suites for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Proven expertise in API testing and integrating test automation with CI/CD pipelines.
