General Manager – Fulfilment

ShipGlobal helps Indian e-commerce sellers ship products directly to customers across international markets. The company is currently building a global fulfilment network that enables Indian brands to stock inventory in the US and Europe, fulfilling orders locally. This initiative aims to offer faster delivery, reduce shipping costs, manage returns locally, and create a superior customer experience.

Job Summary

We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader to build ShipGlobal Fulfilment from the ground up. This role demands a business-building focus with end-to-end responsibility for validating the proposition, acquiring customers, establishing fulfilment capabilities, designing the operating model, and scaling the division into a profitable enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the business plan, market proposition, and go-to-market strategy for ShipGlobal Fulfilment.
• Build a meaningful customer base by converting existing customers and acquiring new ones.
• Create a predictable revenue engine through direct sales, partnerships, and repeatable go-to-market channels.
• Establish strong customer-level and service-level economics and build a clear path to profitability.
• Oversee the onboarding and launch of fulfilment customers, ensuring operational efficiency and high customer satisfaction.
• Define organization structure and roles necessary to scale the business and lead the recruitment of a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10+ years of experience with a proven track record in building, scaling businesses, or P&L management.
• Significant experience in e-commerce fulfilment, cross-border logistics, or related fields.
• Proven ability in B2B/enterprise sales and direct customer engagement.
• Strong analytical skills with an understanding of pricing, contribution-margin analysis, and cost-to-serve business planning.
• Working knowledge of warehouse management, inventory reconciliation, and reverse logistics.
• Experience with D2C brands, cross-border e-commerce, and international supply chains.
• A degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Experience in building operational structures and management systems in a growing business.
• Strong negotiation skills with international partners and logistics providers.
• Ability to leverage technology and data for process improvement and cost efficiency.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in relevant roles, particularly in logistics, fulfilment operations, and business development within e-commerce.

Environment

The position offers an entrepreneurial and hands-on work environment that requires engaging closely with customers and partners. The role may involve significant travel, especially internationally, to develop partnerships and oversee operations.
