Job Summary

This role focuses on API development and lifecycle management, leveraging expertise in cloud computing, DevOps, and infrastructure automation. The candidate will contribute to building scalable, resilient distributed systems with advanced observability and automation practices. The position supports hybrid work in Bangalore and requires collaboration across cross-regional and multi-functional teams to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain APIs, including lifecycle management and gateway integration (e.g., Envoy).
• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Go.
• Design, implement, and operate Kubernetes clusters, including cluster rehydration and management.
• Utilize cloud services on AWS (EKS, S3, DynamoDB, EC2, Route 53, Lambda) to build and maintain scalable systems.
• Implement and maintain observability solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog.
• Perform chaos testing and root cause analysis to ensure system resiliency and reliability.
• Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear communication and documentation.
• Support on-call duties and participate in Agile development processes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of API development, lifecycle management, and API gateways.
• Proficiency in API testing tools.
• Expertise in AWS cloud services including EKS, S3, DynamoDB, EC2, Route 53, and Lambda.
• Skilled in automation using Python, Shell scripting, and Go.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, IAM, ARM, and Chef.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing, DevOps concepts, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cluster rehydration.
• Proficient with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog.
• Strong instrumentation skills for building and operating monitoring, logging, and alerting services at scale.
• Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets using query languages and visualization tools.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
• Ability to perform chaos testing and manage on-call support.
