Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), serverless computing (Lambda), infrastructure as code (CDK & Terraform), and container orchestration via Kubernetes (EKS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure to support modern cloud-native applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and Terraform.
- Build and maintain scalable, production-ready Kubernetes clusters using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.
- Implement security best practices and compliance in cloud environments.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with application developers to containerize workloads and deploy microservices.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services (EC2, IAM, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.)
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CDK
- In-depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, preferably with EKS experience
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins
- Proficient in monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
- Strong understanding of networking, security groups, and IAM policies
- Educational qualifications: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with serverless architectures and related AWS services
- Understanding of microservices architecture and related practices
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies
Experience
- 6+ years of relevant experience in Cloud Engineering and DevOps practices.
