Job Summary

The City General Manager (GM) for Pune will have full Profit & Loss (P&L) ownership of operations in the region. Reporting directly to the Chief Business Officer (CBO), the GM will have a critical role in enhancing the operational landscape of Pune, which includes direct influence over key verticals such as city supply, operations, and offline marketing.

Responsibilities

• Manage P&L for Pune, transitioning from a centrally managed structure to a localized approach.
• Oversee city operations, focusing on scaling with a clear target on the market's growth potential.
• Lead the city supply team and ensure synergy with offline marketing initiatives for optimized customer acquisition cost (CAC).
• Analyze booking metrics (currently generating 2,500 to 3,500 bookings/day) and establish strategies to approach the market ceiling.
• Conduct and facilitate live whiteboarding sessions for problem-solving and operational strategies.

Qualifications

• Education: Tier-1 college degree preferred, but not mandatory.
• Background in hyperlocal services is preferred; candidates with e-commerce experience (e.g., Cars24, Porter, Zomato, Swiggy) are acceptable.
• Must demonstrate experience in managing city P&L structures.
• Experience: 10 to 15 years in relevant roles; willing to consider younger candidates if they show strong P&L management capability.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Candidates with a background in scaling zero-to-one operations at larger scales.
• Familiarity with offline marketing strategies and micro-market mapping.

Experience

• A total of 10 to 15 years of relevant industry experience is required, with flexibility to consider younger candidates showcasing capability.

Environment

• The role is based in Pune, with a strong preference for local candidates due to language advantages; however, non-local searches will be run simultaneously.

Salary

• The compensation range for the role is up to 35 to 50 LPA (Lakhs per Annum).
