Job Description
The Retail Sales Head will be responsible for handling overall store operations, supervising staff
to maximize sales, maintain exceptional levels of customer service, developing & maintaining
customer base by capitalizing on high-profile clientele and sales.
Ability to manage multi-store, pan-India operations
Implement and maintain retail operational policies and procedures to incorporate a sales
plan, cost control, shrinkage management, reduction, and audit compliance
Contributes to the expansion process and set up plans at the strategic and operational
levels
To develop, direct and measure the execution of strategic annual/long-term plans in
order to meet and exceed sales and revenue commitments/goals. Drive financial
performance & aim to exceed targets.
Increase sales to maximize profitability while reducing costs through well managed
operational controls
Drive sales and retail improvements through analysis and support.
Propose measures to improve operational performance
Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store.
Analyse sales and revenue reports and make forecasts.
Advice to formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandise activities, determining
additional sales promotion, authorization stock clearance, and studying trends within the
allocated budget.
Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotions, display plans, analysing
operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
Liaise with the purchase department to ensure range and stock levels are consistent with
business requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:
6-7 years of retail management experience in a related industry
Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to translate corporate objectives into store-
level strategies.
Exceptional customer focus and client relationship management abilities
Very strong people management skills
Knowledge of retail math and cash management techniques
Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written in English (other relevant languages
are highly beneficial - will depend on region)
Excellent organizational skills, Flexibility and solution orientation, with the ability to
reprioritize tasks as necessary
High levels of energy, optimism and self-motivation
Ability to perform well under pressure
