Job Description
- Difference from quick commerce: Element is faster fashion, but taking away share from existing marketplaces as well like Myntra. It will be category wise curated merchandising, applying the 80-20 rule to know what is in trend, so a lot of time spent on merchandising. Idea is not to go to Slikk only for fast fashion, but to go there because their curation works for me.<br />
- Monetisation through 3 channels - brands they keep are charged 30% revenue share that is sold; certain amount to keep their inventory in their store, what isn't sold gets returned & WHing space not charged; 3P logistics for deliveries, also charge a commission from them.<br />
- 150 brands onboard, have had to say no to brands due to WH limitations. Only in Bglr at the moment.<br />
- 3 category oles: 40-50L, 4-5 YoE, core category mgmt exp, Akshay founder is very clear on the target companies: Ajio, Amazon Fashion, Nykaa Fashion, Myntra<br />
- Apparels: Has to be from apparel of any kind<br />
- BPC - focus on this and has to be from BPC<br />
- Ancillary luggage, home decor - focus on this<br />
- Operational level support is there. Assess on how much of decision making sat with them wrt merchandising, how did the category grow, identity on what basis they chose brands<br />
- Head of Marketing: Currently has someone leading performance marketing, someone who does content creation, HoM will lead all of these too; Now needs someone who knows brand as well, offline channels, marketing budgeting, ROI, strategy + execution; Pallavi Shetty - ex Myntra, Joy Sahni; D2C+marketplace (quick comm) will be a strong thing for them, lifestyle businesses
