Job Summary

As a Senior Manager of Engineering, you will lead a portfolio of finance automation and data management solutions serving the Office of the CFO. This role is crucial in shaping the engineering strategy, scaling high-performing teams, and delivering customer value across the product portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the engineering strategy for finance automation and data management solutions, evolving each product to meet customer needs and market demands.
• Spearhead the transition of on-premises products to comprehensive SaaS platforms, ensuring seamless migration, enhanced functionality, and long-term scalability.
• Champion AI adoption in the development lifecycle and product features, leveraging AI-assisted engineering practices to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to embed AI-powered features into the product roadmap, collaborating with Product Management to define a clear vision for value delivery to finance and operations teams.
• Drive the development and delivery of features that help customers automate complex transactional and data management processes within their SAP environments.
• Mentor engineers and team leads, fostering a culture of excellence in software design and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with Product Management to plan and prioritize Epics and sprints, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely releases.
• Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing protocols, and documentation standards.
• Apply Lean principles to improve engineering processes and optimize the flow of value delivery across the product portfolio.
• Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across teams to optimize productivity and meet project deadlines.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure a cohesive product strategy.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, AI advancements, and industry trends, incorporating relevant innovations into product roadmaps.
• Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-ones to ensure clear communication, address challenges, and recognize achievements.
• Represent the engineering team in executive-level discussions and customer-facing events when necessary.
• Contribute to the company’s overall technical strategy and participate in long-term planning for the product portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations relevant to SaaS offerings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading full-stack engineering teams delivering scalable, production-grade features across multiple products or workstreams.
• Demonstrated capability in managing and aligning stakeholders, including Product Management, Customer Success, Sales, and executive leadership.
• Strong expertise in full stack technologies, particularly C# and JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of API design and cloud-native architectures (microservices, containers, event-driven systems), preferably on AWS, with hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
• Demonstrated experience with or strong knowledge of the SAP ecosystem, including integrations and ERP data flows.
• An AI-forward mindset with hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance engineering velocity.
• Familiar with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies, demonstrating the ability to apply them to engineering processes.
• Strong understanding of system performance, scalability, and data-access patterns in cloud environments.
• An empathetic and inclusive leader with robust communication and collaboration skills.
• A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong grasp of backend development principles, software architecture, and design patterns.
