About the role

The Market Quality Executive is responsible for monitoring and improving product quality in the market by analyzing consumer feedback, managing quality complaints, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. This role acts as a bridge between manufacturing, supply chain, and customer-facing teams to uphold brand reputation and drive continuous improvement in product quality across the FMCG portfolio.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  

Market Surveillance & Quality Monitoring

·       Monitor product quality in the market through retail audits, consumer feedback, and field reports.

·       Conduct regular market visits to assess product condition, packaging integrity, and shelf-life performance.

·       Identify trends and potential risks in market quality and escalate issues proactively.

 

Consumer Complaint Management

·       Investigate consumer complaints and coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams for root cause analysis.

·       Ensure timely closure of complaints with effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

·       Maintain complaint database and generate insights for quality improvement.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

·       Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, and Regulatory teams to address market quality concerns.

·       Support product recalls or withdrawals, if required, in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

·       Provide feedback to R&D and manufacturing teams for product and process enhancements.

 

Documentation & Reporting

·       Maintain accurate records of market quality incidents, investigations, and resolutions.

·       Prepare monthly reports on market quality performance, complaint trends, and improvement actions.

·       Support internal and external audits with relevant market quality documentation.

 

Qualification & Requirement

 

Who are we looking for?

Education:

 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering or Masters in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.

Experience:

•         5-10 years of experience in quality assurance or consumer complaint handling in FMCG or food industry.

•         Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FSSAI).

•         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•         Proficient in MS Office and quality management systems.

Skills:

·       Experience in field quality or market surveillance roles.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

·       Familiarity with consumer complaint platforms and CRM tools.
