FMCG Procurement Manager JD
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager from the FMCG sector who can manage end-to-end purchasing operations while working hand-in-hand with production and planning teams. The ideal candidate will ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials and packaging, cost optimization, vendor management, and adherence to quality and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and execute procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables required for FMCG production.
- Work closely with production, planning, and quality teams to align procurement schedules with production plans.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production downtime.
- Develop and manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and supply continuity.
- Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and reorder points to optimize working capital.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Track market trends, price fluctuations, and availability of key raw materials.
- Prepare and manage purchase budgets, cost-saving initiatives, and variance analysis.
- Handle purchase orders, contracts, and documentation in coordination with finance and accounts teams.
- Resolve supply issues, shortages, or quality concerns proactively.
- Support production efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of FMCG raw materials, packaging, and supply chain processes.
- Proven experience in vendor negotiation and cost optimization.
- Excellent coordination skills with production and planning teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume FMCG environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Relevant professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management are an advantage.
