Job Summary
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will serve as a core commercial growth engine for leading and scaling a unified marketing strategy that integrates Brand, Digital, Performance, and Customer Experience. The role is responsible for enhancing overall profitability by strengthening brand positioning, optimizing multi-channel customer acquisition and retention, and maximizing marketing ROI to drive sustainable revenue growth across both online and offline touchpoints.
Responsibilities

Own the Marketing & Growth Agenda
- Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy aligned with the company's growth and revenue goals.
- Translate business objectives into clear marketing priorities, investments, and measurable outcomes.
- Build a balanced marketing engine encompassing brand, performance, digital, CRM, content, social, and partnerships.
- Identify new growth opportunities across channels, customer segments, geographies, and categories.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership team to shape the company's next phase of growth.

Build the Brand
- Strengthen brand positioning, proposition, and distinctive point of view.
- Develop a compelling brand narrative resonating with the core female consumer.
- Lead brand campaigns, content strategy, social media, and consumer communication.
- Ensure consistency of brand identity and experience across digital and offline touchpoints.
- Enhance brand awareness, consideration, preference, and customer loyalty.
- Balance long-term brand equity with short-term commercial objectives.

Drive Performance & Digital Growth
- Own the performance marketing strategy across platforms including Meta, Google, and other relevant channels.
- Establish a rigorous framework for evaluating marketing spends and incremental returns.
- Improve the customer funnel: traffic → engagement → conversion → repeat purchase → lifetime value.
- Optimize customer acquisition costs and marketing efficiency.
- Experiment with new channels, audiences, creatives, formats, and strategies.

Own Marketing Economics & ROI
- Manage the marketing budget and allocation across brand and performance initiatives.
- Define clear ROI/ROAS and business-performance metrics for marketing investments.
- Evaluate advertising effectiveness beyond vanity metrics.
- Understand and leverage CAC, LTV, AOV, conversion rates, and contribution margins.
- Build a data-led decision-making framework for marketing spend and expected returns.
- Develop measurement systems to distinguish incremental growth from attributed growth.

Customer & CRM
- Develop a deep understanding of customer segments, cohorts, and purchase behavior.
- Implement strategies to increase repeat purchases, customer lifetime value, and retention.
- Strengthen CRM, lifecycle marketing, personalization, and remarketing efforts.
- Use customer insights to influence product, assortment, pricing, and merchandising.

Digital Commerce
- Collaborate with e-commerce, SEO, and product teams to improve online conversion and revenue.
- Identify opportunities across website experience, merchandising, landing pages, search, discovery, and checkout.
- Develop strategies for launches, collections, seasonal moments, and promotional calendars.
- Use data and experimentation to enhance the digital customer journey.

- Build and lead a high-performing marketing organization across various functions.
- Set clear goals, metrics, and accountability for the marketing team.

Qualifications
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields; MBA from a top-tier institute preferred.
- Experience: 12+ years of overall experience with significant leadership in consumer marketing.
- Proven experience in scaling D2C/digital-first consumer brands.
- Strong background in brand marketing and performance marketing.
- Experience managing large marketing budgets with measurable business outcomes.
- Prior experience in female-oriented categories such as fashion, beauty, personal care, jewelry, lifestyle, wellness, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to connect marketing investments to revenue and profitability.
- Deep understanding of unit economics, customer economics, CAC, LTV, AOV, and contribution margins.
- Experience working in digital/e-commerce-driven businesses balancing online and offline growth.
