Job Summary

The Mainframe Automation role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and management of mainframe systems. This position focuses on testing, change management, and problem management, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of IT services within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing, change management, and problem management to ensure system integrity.
• Provide training and peer support for graduates entering the field.
• Manage software migration and maintenance procedures, including installation, backout, and re-migration processes.
• Implement patching, testing, upgrades, and installations of mainframe software.
• Code and develop solutions using Z/OS, REXX, Tivoli Netview, Systems Automation for Z/OS, WAC (IBM Worldwide Automation Configurator), COBOL, RPG, JCL, and PROCS.
• Perform peer reviews of changes and projects to maintain high standards of quality.
• Drive high-scale automation initiatives for large mainframe-based enterprises.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong experience in software migration and maintenance procedures.
• Expertise in coding for Z/OS, REXX, Tivoli Netview, Systems Automation for Z/OS, WAC, COBOL, RPG, JCL, and PROCS.
• Good overall knowledge in all facets of IT.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant educational qualifications such as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with unsupported and new features in recent mainframe versions.
• Experience in high-scale automation of mainframe systems.

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in mainframe automation and management.

Environment

• This position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.

Salary

• Estimated salary range: 3,500,000.
