Job Title: Plant Operation Head

Job Summary: The Plant Operation Head is responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of a manufacturing or production facility. They play a crucial role in managing the plant's resources, personnel, and processes to ensure the production goals are met while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to meet production targets, optimize efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
  2. Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure smooth plant operations.
  3. Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications by implementing and maintaining quality control processes.
  4. Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety within the plant and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  5. Production Oversight: Monitor and oversee production processes, ensuring they are running efficiently and meeting production schedules.
  6. Budget Management: Develop and manage the plant's budget, controlling expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  7. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of supervisors, operators, technicians, and other plant staff to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  8. Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
  9. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including raw materials and finished products, to meet production demands without excessive stockpiling.
  10. Environmental Compliance: Ensure that the plant complies with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices where possible.
  11. Reporting: Generate regular reports on plant performance, including production metrics, safety records, and budget expenditures, and present findings to senior management.
  12. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  13. Vendor and Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure necessary materials and services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field (Master's degree may be preferred).
  • Several years of experience in plant management or a related role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Must have 10 years of related industry experience.
