Job Summary

The Tester plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications by identifying defects and issues. The position involves developing test plans, executing tests, and documenting results to ensure that software products meet the required standards before release.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on software requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application features and functionality.
• Perform regression testing to confirm that existing functionality is preserved after bug fixes and enhancements.
• Conduct performance testing to validate the application under expected and peak load conditions.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies for better quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in software testing methodologies and techniques.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a passion for quality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
• Knowledge of database management and SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile development processes and methodologies.

Experience

A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in software testing or quality assurance is preferred.
