Lead Recruiter – Tech & Product Engineering

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Recruiter to drive end-to-end hiring across technology and product engineering roles, from Software Engineers to Director-level talent, alongside campus hiring initiatives. This role demands strong experience in hiring for product organizations, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and familiarity with talent programs like Employee Referrals, Diversity Hiring, and Employer Branding. The successful candidate will lead a small team of 1–2 recruiters and will be accountable for achieving an annual hiring target of approximately 100 roles.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Hiring (Senior Focus):

    • Lead full-cycle recruitment for senior technical roles including Engineers, Architects, Managers, and Director-level positions.
    • Build and manage strong pipelines for niche and in-demand skill sets.
    • Collaborate closely with engineering leadership on workforce planning and hiring strategy.
    • Drive proactive sourcing through platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, Naukri, etc.
    • Own key metrics such as quality of hire, time-to-hire, and candidate experience.
  • Talent Programs Management:

    • Drive employee referral programs and track their effectiveness.
    • Implement diversity hiring initiatives across engineering teams.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance employer branding and Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
    • Ensure seamless candidate lifecycle management via Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resource Management System (HRMS).
  • Team Leadership:

    • Manage and mentor a team of 1–2 recruiters.
    • Establish best practices, workflows, and performance dashboards.
    • Foster a high-performance, improvement-driven team culture.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
  • Experience:
    • 6–8 years of experience in recruitment, with at least 5 years focused on technical hiring in product-led environments.
    • A strong track record of hiring senior technical talent such as Principal Engineers, Managers, and Directors.
    • Prior experience in a consulting/search firm is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with ATS/HRMS tools (e.g., Workday, SmartRecruiters, SuccessFactors, Taleo).
    • Strong sourcing capability and understanding of tech talent markets.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, global setup.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing campus hiring or university relations.
  • Exposure to talent programs such as referrals, diversity hiring, and employer branding.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Data-driven approach with experience in recruitment analytics.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Experience

  • 6–8 years of experience in recruitment, specifically with a focus on technical hiring in product environments.

  • Location: Hyderabad / Bengaluru (Hybrid work environment).
