SharePoint Administration and Development

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated professional with 6 to 8 years of overall experience, including at least 4 years specializing in SharePoint Administration and 1+ year in SharePoint Development. In this role, you will manage and enhance the Xnet-specific SharePoint environments, coordinate with external vendors and consultants, serve as the primary point of contact for Microsoft escalations, and drive the design and implementation of innovative SharePoint-based solutions. Your work will ensure smooth daily operations and effective integration of new Microsoft 365 features into the Xnet ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Processing Xnet-Relevant Support Topics: Handle and resolve support requests and incidents specific to the Xnet SharePoint environments to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Management and Coordination with Infosys (External Vendor): Oversee the activities of the Indian SharePoint support team, ensuring adherence to standards, timely communication, and efficient task execution.
  • Direct Contact with Microsoft (Essential): Act as the main point of contact for escalations and technical support with Microsoft; previous experience handling Microsoft support cases is mandatory.
  • Collaboration with External SharePoint Consultants: Work closely with external consultants to achieve project goals, leverage specialized expertise, and deliver robust SharePoint solutions.
  • Support and Development of Existing Custom Extensions: Maintain and enhance current custom SharePoint extensions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Design and Implementation of Future Xnet Applications: Lead the development of new SharePoint-based applications, ensuring scalability and user-friendliness in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and Reporting on New SharePoint and M365 Features: Stay current with updates and new features in SharePoint Online and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem, and share key insights with stakeholders.
  • Impact Analysis and Recommendations: Evaluate the impact of new features on the Xnet environment and provide structured recommendations or warnings regarding adoption.
  • Documentation in Azure DevOps: Ensure thorough documentation of development activities, troubleshooting steps, and configurations in Azure DevOps for transparency and continuity.

Qualifications

  • 6 to 8 years of overall experience in a related role.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of dedicated experience in SharePoint Administration.
  • At least 1+ year of experience in the SharePoint Development side.
  • Proven track record of handling support requests and resolving IT incidents.
  • Strong experience in coordinating with external vendors and consultants.
  • Excellent technical and communication skills with proven escalation management abilities.
  • Proficient in maintaining documentation and using Azure DevOps for version control.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint Online and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications in Microsoft SharePoint or Microsoft 365.
  • Experience managing integration projects within large organizations.
  • Ability to work seamlessly in a dynamic environment with multiple external stakeholders.
