Data Engineer/ Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an Experienced AWS Data Architect who possesses strong technical expertise along with exceptional interpersonal skills. This role involves direct interaction with clients to understand their business needs, design architectural solutions, and contribute to various client engagements. The AWS Data Architect will leverage their deep understanding of AWS services to design and implement effective data pipelines, while also ensuring compliance with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients face-to-face to understand business needs, present architectural solutions, and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines using a variety of AWS services (e.g., Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, EMR, etc.).
• Lead and support the preparation and submission of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring innovative and tailored solutions meet client expectations.
• Develop comprehensive architectural strategies and roadmaps for cloud-based data solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the organization.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: 10 to 17 years of experience in data architecture and engineering, particularly with AWS services.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS services and cloud-native data solutions.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex data architectures and pipelines.
• Exceptional client-facing and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and communicate effectively.
• Experience in responding to and preparing detailed RFPs, including technical and business-focused proposals.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset for innovation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.

Preferred Skills

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics).
• Experience with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hive).
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.

Experience

Minimum of 10 to 17 years of relevant experience in data engineering and architecture, with strong expertise in AWS services.

Environment

• Work mode: 4 days in-office (Work from Office).
• Location: Madiwala, Bangalore.
• Notice period: Immediate to 30 days joining.
