Job Description
Role Overview: The Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will lead the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions across the organization. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to drive strategic decision-making through actionable financial insights, provide guidance on budgeting and forecasting, and ensure robust financial management across departments. The role demands a proactive leader with strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a track record of success in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities: ● Leadership in FP&A Strategy: Lead the development and execution of financial planning strategies, working closely with senior management to align financial goals with corporate strategy. Provide insights into long-term financial planning and capital allocation. ● Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the preparation, consolidation, and presentation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial models. Ensure all financial forecasts and budgets reflect the organization’s strategic initiatives and risk factors. ● Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to the executive leadership team and stakeholders, providing insights into key performance indicators (KPIs), financial trends, and variances. ● Decision Support & Business Partnering: Act as a key financial business partner to senior leadership and other departments, including operations, sales, and marketing. Lead discussions on resource allocation, margin analysis, profitability improvement, and cost control strategies. ● Strategic Financial Modeling: Lead the development and implementation of complex financial models to assess the financial impact of strategic decisions, including M&A, capital investments, new product lines, and market expansions. ● Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and systems to increase accuracy, reduce cycle times, and enhance decision-making capabilities. Implement automation and reporting tools to streamline financial workflows. ● Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of FP&A professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members, driving talent retention and growth within the finance department. ● Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure financial controls are in place to mitigate risks, and that financial operations comply with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards. Collaborate with internal audit teams to monitor financial risk. Key Requirements: ● Experience: ○ Minimum 7-12 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, Prior experience in the consumer goods, luxury, or manufacturing sectors is preferred. ○ Extensive experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. ○ Proven track record in providing actionable financial insights to senior leadership and driving strategic financial decision-making. ● Educational Background: ○ A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is required. MBA, CFA, or CPA qualifications are highly preferred. ● Skills & Competencies: ○ Expertise in advanced financial modeling and forecasting techniques. ○ Strong proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) and Excel. ○ Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. ○ A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of business operations, profitability drivers, and financial risk management. ○ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. ○ Strong leadership and team-building abilities. ● Personal Attributes: ○ High level of integrity and professionalism. ○ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. ○ Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams. ○ A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on delivering value.
